I’m Essi, a photographer based in Helsinki. I photograph dancers, bands, artists and people who do things their own way.

I’m drawn to movement, individuality and images with an edge and attitude. I am a dancer myself, so I have a good understanding of movement and guiding models. Not everything needs to be polished, subtle or even beautiful in the traditional sense. What matters most is the feeling.
